TRYING
Lance came up to me and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was trying to work. I then asked him what he was doing. His response was “I am trying to be good.” HA!

I just realized that I have not posted any of my new designs or pages.
No Girls Allowed is a collaboration with Shawna Clingerman. We are both moms to boys only so we knew exactly what to add to this kit!
First Bell is a collaboration with Lauren Grier. Lauren drew all those amazing doodles! I am very jealous of her skills!
Tiki Tiki Boom Boom is one of my favorite kits! It is also a collab (see a trend here?) with Heather Roselli. I plan on using this one for South Padre pictures.
Hey Hey Baby is a collab with Libby Weifenbach. I had a good time working with Libby on this one and it is my first baby kit!
Grape Soda and Sunshine is a kit that is girlie but not pink! This kit is packed with 17 papers and tons of elements.
Summerset has some of my favorite colors in it. Perfect for the end of summer photos.
And I also made Coconut Tree this summer. My favorite kit!

And occasionally I scrap. I am so far behind it isn’t even funny. I only have two new ones to show:
Another first! I am surprised it took him 3 years to bust his lip!

Whew! Still with me?
Nothing much is going on around here. We are getting ready for school. Garrett will meet his teacher on Friday and Lance meets his next Thursday. Garrett starts all day Kindergarten on Monday the 25th. He has his backpack ready to go! I need to sort through all their clothes and figure out what fits and what needs to be handed down to Lance and Jack. And then there is the small mountain of new clothes that need to ironed, hung up and put away.
I am a bit disappointed that the last week of summer is rainy. I wanted to spend each morning at the the pool but the forecast does not look good. I hope it clears up by Friday because we are planning a family day at the beach. If it rains then I am sure we will find something else to do for Family Day.
Time to switch out the laundry! Have a great day!

Daddy: What did you do today?
Lance: We got new wiberry books
Daddy: Wiberry? Or Library?
Lance: Wiberry
Daddy: What does library start with?
Garrett from the other room: L
Daddy: What does L say?
Lance: ulllllllllll
Daddy: L for library. Say LLLLLLibrary
Lance: Wiberry.
Continuing the conversation about his day…
Lance: We went to the Y
Daddy: What did you do at the Y
Lance: We didn’t go to the poo.
Daddy: You didn’t go to the poo or pool?
Lance: Poo.

A couple layouts of the little stinkpot:
Jul 20 2008
This is going to totally random.

Lance
*is afraid of something different each day. today it was robots.
*is improving his bike and scooter stunts. he can pop a wheelie on his scooter.
*could be a great rapper since he tends to drop ending consonants. my favorite is doh for door.
*has learned how to use the remote.
*told me his stuffed redfish is going to have babies and they will come out of the gills.
——
Garrett
*very ready for kindergarten to start.
*is reading very well and will read to Lance.
*will not let us take the training wheels off his bike.
*listens to his little radio in the playroom. most of the time it is tuned into a hispanic channel but he still sings along.
*is very embarrassed by his daddy. of course Billy acts strange on purpose.
*hates girls

It is never dull around here.

I am actually posting!
Let me just give you the highlights:
You know your summer is fun when you can’t even make it all the way to the toys before you crash on the playroom floor.
A huge water bill and a hardworking husband can get you this coveted sign in our neighborhood.
I have a dare devil for a son. He can do many tricks on his little 10 in. bike. (Yes, he has a helmet and usually wears it. He was taking a break from the sprinkler and jumped on his bike)
This was Lance’s favorite firework. The quiet ones.
A beautiful day at the beach with friends and family.
Tandem “surfing”
We are having a fun summer. At least 2 days a week are spent at the pool. I keep checking to see if the boys are growing webbed feet. Those boys are good swimmers and have so much fun in the water. We start swim lessons again. This will be Lance’s first time but he almost doesn’t need them. He can already swim under water and does really well. I want them both to learn how to correctly swim. Garrett needs help on floating. He has that big Heimann boodie pulling him down.
When we don’t go swimming we usually go to the library. They get to pick out 5 books each (my rule) and then we go to story hour. Garrett loves story hour and participates. Lance tolerates it. It is too dull for him.
On the weekends there is a lot of bike riding! Billy will ride with the boys down to the school and they ride in the parking lot. Apparently Lance does tricks there also. He has no fear. Garrett, the cautious one, will barely cross the street to get there. No way he will pop a wheelie!
Billy’s job that he has been on for over a year is winding down and he has started commuting to the new jobsite. (He is in construction management and moves from jobsite to jobsite) The new job is in Texas City which is 70 miles away- one way! You can imagine how I feel about that.
Speaking of Billy- he just pulled in the drive. I will be back soon with some layouts to show. Gotta run!

I think this is my favorite so far! I had so much fun making it and had to stop myself from adding more and more. You can get it today at TDC for 20% off!
And here are some layouts my fabulous CT made:
That is all for now. I have a huge post planned for this weekend. I promise!
