Friday Fun!

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Hi there everyone! I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful friday! I am enjoying a day off work (can’t beat that!)  and it is cool but a beautiful fall day outside. I know that winter will be here soon so I am going to enjoy this day as much as I can.

If you need some inspiration for a good day why not take a peek at two new things that Amanda has up her sleeve for you today.

For those days where you need a creative kick start take a look at these

Layout Builders – Times Three.

Take a look at what Erin did with one of these templates and A Place Called Home.

Janie used another one of these and the Just Beecause kit to make this gorgeous page.

And using  Slice of Summer, Rebecca used this one.

So if that didn’t get you inspired enough, how about a bit of wordart. Take a look at these – Word Search: Fall !

And this layout by Linz shows off both this new word art and the Layout Builders!

So what do you think? Are you inspired now! I bet you are…. go grab these up and spend the afternoon being creative!

Have a great weekend!

See you on Monday.

Hot Hybrid!

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Hi again Amanda followers!  How is everyone’s weeks going?  If it’s going good, I hope they get even better… but if it’s not so great, well – the week is half over!!  Woohoo!!

Today I’m really excited to show you a cute hybrid project that CT member Vickilyn made just for us :).  I hope it inspires you like it has me – I can’t wait to make one too!  Have a peek (feel free to oooh and aaah with me!)…

Isn’t it AWESOME??  She used Amanda’s Lucky kit and a template by Lauren Meader from Papertrey Ink.  It stands about 7″ tall, so its a good sized bag.  I’m thinking of all the things you could put in one of these – maybe a girls night in with some nail polish & manicure supplies?  A teacher’s gift with some cute pens/pencils, a notepad (and of course some chocolate).  Bridal shower, baby shower, birthday favors?  The possibilities and occasions would be endless!!

Thanks Vicky for sharing this with us!  If you don’t see me in a few days, its because I’m stuck in my craft room frantically printing, cutting and gluing :)!  Have a happy Wednesday everyone!

A little something…

Monday, October 26th, 2009

So I don’t know about all of you, but I don’t generally like Mondays.  Especially when its cold, rainy and solid grey outside (like its been for the last 3 weeks).  And the fact that my little one got up extra early today fighting a cold and is pretty cranky, lol.  But, I digress, lol!!  What better to make Monday a little bit better than a freebie???

I can’t believe that October is coming to a close and November is hot on its heels!!  NOVEMBER people!!  It scares me every time I think about it, lol!  Anyways, to get you all ready for the new month, I made you a desktop!  I used Amanda’s new collab kit with MLE Card – Oregon Trail for it – I hope you like it!!

* Link will be valid for 2 weeks – grab it while you can! *

Wonderful Wednesday!

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Hi there everyone and welcome to this week’s Wednesday post which I am calling Wonderful! Why is it wonderful, you ask? Because I have just spent the last hour looking through someof the most wonderful layouts and I am now totally inspired to scrap up a storm. I find that when I am loosing my mojo the best cure is to sneak a peak at someone else’s work and get inspired from their fantastic vision of things.

Take a look at some of the amazing layouts that I found.

This one from Stephanie was stunning. Love the way she used the masks on the pictures.

This page by Eranslow is made with one of my all time favorite kits, Truly Yours.

I  looooove whitespace layouts so when I saw this one by mzkellyb I added immediately to my favs.

and last but not least and mainly because I am a bit of a show off, here is my latest page with Amanda’ collab with Jennifer Fox, Fall Frolic. I just love this kit and I really liked how this page turned out so I am tooting my own horn with this one!

So I hope that you all get some inspiration from these pages.

There are so many amazing things that you can try and Amanda has a kit for all of them!

See you next week!

I promised to be back!

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

Remember yesterday when I promised to come back and post a freebie template… well,  I’mmmmmm baaaaaaaaaaaack!

Vickilyn told us yesterday that Lucky was her favorite kit and she was right, it is gorgeous. Here is a page that I made with it.

and since this is such a versatile little layout, I thought that you all might like a template to call your own.  So here you go!

You can download it by either clicking the picture or right here.

Hope you like it.
See you soon!

Fresh Face Friday!

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Hi there everyone! Ever have one of those weeks where you understand completely why people say T.G.I.F?  Man oh man, this was one of those weeks for me. I am so excited to be able to sit down and do some serious scrapping tonight!

But before I do that I wanted to pass on some inspiration from one of our team members, Vickilyn.  Lets see a bit about who she is.

1. Tell us a bit about who you are?
I am a working mother of three…I mean I work besides being a mother of three! LOL I do New Product Development of bar soap. I am married to a man who supports my hobby even though he doesn’t understand it.

2. What are your passions in life?
Scrapbooking – of course! My favorite scrapbooking subject – my children! I also have a HUGE passion for Nascar & CSI: Miami.

3. What do you hate to do?

Clean…what else? Nothing I hate worse than having to do something I don’t want to do and have it cut into my scrapping time as well!

4. What got you into digiscrapping?

Believe it or not – cardmaking! LOL I was always a scrapbooker – the pictures and the memories were always what was important. I couldn’t understand people who spent all this time making cards – I mean you were going to give it to somebody and they were going to throw it away – the pages were MUCH more important. And then somehow, I started making cards – and was addicted!! And obviously eating crow! But while I was making 10-15 cards every week, I wasn’t getting the pages done. So I turned to digital and the rest, as they say, is history!

5. What is your favorite kit of Amanda’s?
I love Lucky! I think it’s the colors. Kraft is big and I always love red, white and blue!

6. What is your favorite layout/project that you have made with Amanda’s products?
Well, I probably have two right now:

There’s this layout – which is not Amanda’s Kit, but is her template – I ADORE templates!!

This template comes from this template pack, I Love Paper.

and this one – which is her new Fall kit – “Fall Frolic”.

7. What are your top 5 foods?
Shrimp, scallops, chocolate, prime rib and I am totally addicted to Diet Mt. Dew!

8. What are your top 5 tv shows?
This one is hard – I really am NOT a TV watcher…
CSI: Miami is definitely the top. (the Nascar race I assume doesn’t count as a TV show)…although I haven’t watch them in a while…Trading Spaces, What Not To Wear, Law & Order and Without A Trace

9. What was the last book you read?
I read the Sisterhood Series by Fern Michaels. Stories about women seeking revenge on the men who wronged them.

10. What is the last movie that you have seen?
Last movie….again – not a big TV watcher…I can honestly tell you the last movie I saw IN THE THEATER was Titanic. Otherwise, I will say National Treasure II.

Thank you so much, Vickilyn,  for letting us get to know you  through your wonderful answers, layouts and projects!

Since Vickilyn has confessed that she loves a good template I thought that I would make you one from a layout of mine of Amanda’s. Trouble is, I am not at home at the moment to post it. But I promise I will be back and will edit this post with the layout as soon as I get back home!

Thanks for stopping by today! See you soon!
